meeting held on March 16, 2016, commencing at 4:04 PM, in Committee Room #4, Second Floor, London City Hall.

3rd Report of the Cycling Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 3rd Report of the Cycling Advisory Committee, from its meeting held February 17, 2016, was received.

Municipal Council resolution - 1st and 2nd Reports of the Cycling Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution, from its meeting held on February 16, 2016, with respect to the 1st and 2nd Reports of the Cycling Advisory Committee, was received.

 

4.

Municipal Council resolution - London ON Bikes Cycling Master Plan

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution, from its meeting held on February 16, 2016, with respect to the London ON Bikes Cycling Master Plan, was received.

 

5.

Notice of Completion - West London Dyke Master Repair Plan

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice of Completion for the West London Dyke Master Repair Plan, was received.

City of London - Adelaide Street/Canadian Pacific Railway Grade Separation - Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study - Notice of Study Commencement

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice of Study Commencement for the Adelaide Street/Canadian Pacific Railway Grade Separation, Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study, from J. Goldberg, Consultant Project Coordinator, was received.

Notice of Public Information Centre (PIC) Meeting #2 - Highbury Avenue and Hamilton Road Intersection Improvements - Municipal Class Environmental Assessment

 

 

That the Civic Administration BE INVITED to a future meeting of the Cycling Advisory Committee to provide information with respect to the Highbury Avenue and Hamilton Road Intersection Improvements, Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study; it being noted that the Notice, from M. Elmadhoon, Transportation Planning and Design and B. Huston, Dillon Construction, was received.

8.

Cycling Advisory Sub-Committee Report

 

That it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Sub-Committee received a verbal update from M. Zunti, on behalf of the Cycling Advisory Sub-committee; it being further noted that feedback was provided to Civic Administration with respect to the Bike Path Map and the Cycling Locker Pilot Program.

 

V.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

 

9.

Request for Guest Speaker - P. Topalovi, Project Manager, M. Engineer, City of Hamilton

 

That the following actions be taken with respect to the request to P. Topalovi, Project Manager, M. Engineer, City of Hamilton:

 

a)            P. Topalovi, Project Manager, M. Engineer, City of Hamilton, BE INVITED to a future meeting of the Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) to make a presentation with respect to the following City of Hamilton initiatives: Complete Streets Infrastructure, cycling end of trip facilities, smart bike hubs, bike share program, bike parking, cycling business cases, separated bike lanes and cycling engagement processes prior to the finalization of CAC input for the Cycling Master Plan;

 

b)            the Civic Administration, the Transportation Advisory Committee, the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee and  the Advisory Committee on the Environment BE INVITED to attend the above noted presentation, when scheduled; and,

 

c)            it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Committee approved expenditures of up to $200.00 with respect to related costs/expenses; it being further noted that the CAC has sufficient funds in its proposed 2016 budget for these expenditures.

DEFERRED MATTERS/ADDITIONAL BUSINESS

 

10.

Field Marshal Wolseley Bridge (Quebec Street) Pedestrian Safety

 

That the following actions be taken with respect to the Field Marshal Wolseley Bridge (Quebec Street) Pedestrian Safety:

 

a)            the Civic Administration BE ADVISED that the Cycling Advisory Committee supports that no action be taken with respect to the Field Marshal Wolseley Bridge;

 

b)            the staff report dated February 2, 2016, from J. Braam, Managing Director, Environmental and Engineering Services and City Engineer to the Civic Works Committee, BE RECEIVED; and,

           

c)            a communication dated March 8, 2016, from C. Beal, Superintendent, Organizational Support Services, Thames Valley District School Board, with respect to this matter, BE RECEIVED.
