meeting held on January 18, 2017, commencing at 4:11 PM, in Committee Room #4, Second Floor, London City Hall. 

 

PRESENT:  D. Mitchell (Chair), D. Doroshenko, J. Jordan, H. Ketelaars and W. Pol and J. Martin (Secretary).

 

ABSENT:  D. Szoller and M. Zunti.

2.

1st Report of the Cycling Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 1st Report of the Cycling Advisory Committee, from its meeting held December 14, 2016, was received.

Urban League London Representative

 

That it BE NOTED that a communication dated January 12, 2106, with respect to the Urban League London representative to the Cycling Advisory Committee, was received.

Cycling Advisory Sub-Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Committee received a verbal update from D. Mitchell on behalf of the Cycling Advisory Sub-Committee.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

 

5.

Canada 150 Bike Tour London

 

That the Municipal Council BE REQUESTED to consider endorsing a proposal for a partnership of the Cycling Advisory Committee, the City of London, local cycling clubs and other sponsors to host a Canada 150 Bike Tour London in June 2017, to provide an inclusive cycling tour (as set out in action number 12 in the Cycling Master Plan); it being noted that the CAC received a communication from W. Pol, with respect to this matter.

Province-Wide Cycling Network Study

 

That it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Committee heard a verbal update from H. Ketelaars and J. Bruin with respect to potential route changes for the province-wide cycling routes to link in London; it being noted that H. Ketelaars will proceed with research with respect to this matter and report back at a future meeting of the Cycling Advisory Committee.

 

 

7.

Cycling Advisory Committee Work Plan

 

That it BE NOTED that discussion with respect to the 2017 Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) Work Plan was deferred to the next meeting of the CAC; it being noted that the 2016 CAC Work Plan was received.

 

8.

2017 London Lifestyles Homeshow Update

 

That it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Committee received a verbal update from D. Mitchell with respect to the 2017 London Lifestyles Homeshow.
