The City of London is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek (AUh-nish-in-ah-bek), Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-no-show-nee), Lūnaapéewak (Len-ah-pay-wuk) and Attawandaron (Add-a-won-da-run).
We honour and respect the history, languages and culture of the diverse Indigenous people who call this territory home. The City of London is currently home to many First Nations, Métis and Inuit today.
As representatives of the people of the City of London, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and live in this territory.
Attendance
  • PRESENT:  S. Levin (Chair), S. Evans, T. Hain, S. Hall, R. McGarry, K. Moser and S. Sivakumar and H. Lysynski (Committee Clerk)

    ABSENT:  B. Krichker, M. Lima, G. Sankar and V. Tai 

    ALSO PRESENT:  Councillor J. Pribil; S. Butnari, M. Shepley, B. Somers and E. Williamson

    The meeting was called to order at 4:31 PM; it being noted that S. Evans, T. Hain, R. McGarry, K. Moser and S. Sivakumar were in remote attendance. 

     

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

  • That it BE NOTED that the 5th Report of the Ecological Community Advisory Committee, from its meeting held on April 10, 2024, was received.

  • That the Environmental Changes to The London Plan Working Group comments BE FORWARDED to the Civic Administration for consideration.

  • That the Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to provide options for the expenditure of the 2024 Ecological Community Advisory Committee Budget at the June Ecological Community Advisory Committee meeting.

  • That it BE NOTED that the following actions were taken with respect to the Environmental Management Guidelines:

    a) K. Moser be appointed to the Working Group; and,

    b) the Committee Clerk be requested to put the Environmental Management Guidelines on the June Ecological Community Advisory Committee (ECAC) Agenda;

    it being noted that the ECAC held a discussion with respect to these matters.

  • That V. Tai and S. Hall, respectively, BE APPOINTED as representative and alternate for the Trails Advisory Group for the Windermere Staircase.

  • That a Working Group consisting of S. Hall and S. Levin BE ESTABLISHED to review the application for the property located at 2060 Dundas Street; it being noted that the Notice of Revised Planning Application for a Zoning By-law Amendment dated April 25, 2024, relating to the property located at 2060 Dundas Street was received.
