That it BE NOTED that the 1st Report of the Transportation Advisory Committee from its meeting held on December 6, 2016, was received.

Dark Sky Policy Update

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment held a general discussion related to the Dark Sky Policy; it being noted that it is expected that the policy will be ready for Council consideration by the summer.

Work Plan

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment (ACE) held a general discussion related to the 2016 ACE Work Plan; it being noted that there will be a new Work Plan introduced in March, 2017.

Sub-Committees – Discussion

That Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to inform the Advisory Committee on the Environment (ACE) when departmental budgets are available; it being noted that the ACE held a general discussion related to the Sub-Committee structure; it being further noted that the ACE received the attached presentation from S. Ratz with respect to this matter.

Speakers/Presentations

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment (ACE) held a general discussion related to Speakers and Presentations, including consideration as to what kind of presentations they would like to receive in the future; it being noted that the ACE is waiting on a presentation from Civic Administration with respect to the Gas Tax.

Urban Agriculture

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment heard a verbal summary related to the Urban Agriculture Conference from D. Szoller; it being noted that a report on urban agriculture will be included on the next agenda.

Bike Lanes

(Added) That Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to inform the Advisory Committee on the Environment (ACE) of any environmental concerns that have or may arise, related to the removal of trees, in order to install bike lanes in the City of London.
