The City of London is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek (AUh-nish-in-ah-bek), Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-no-show-nee), Lūnaapéewak (Len-ah-pay-wuk) and Attawandaron (Add-a-won-da-run).
We honour and respect the history, languages and culture of the diverse Indigenous people who call this territory home. The City of London is currently home to many First Nations, Metis and Inuit people today.
As representatives of the people of the City of London, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and live in this territory.

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

None. 

  • That it BE NOTED that the 3rd Report of the Animal Welfare Community Advisory Committee, from its meeting held on February 2, 2023, was received.

  • That B. Samuels, Chair of the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee BE REQUESTED to attend the next Animal Welfare Community Advisory Committee (AWCAC) Meeting to provide more information on library programs that are being undertaken with respect to bird friendly initiatives; it being noted that the AWCAC held a general discussion with respect to this matter. 

  • That it BE NOTED that the Animal Welfare Community Advisory Committee held a general discussion with respect to the 2023 Planning of Budget Programs. 

  • That the matter of Fire-Safety Strategies for Pets BE DEFERRED to the next Animal Welfare Community Advisory Committee (AWCAC) meeting; it being noted that the AWCAC held a general discussion with respect to this matter.

  • That it BE NOTED that the Animal Welfare Community Advisory Committee held a general discussion with respect to Opportunities for Collaboration with other Advisory Committees on Similar Initiatives. 

  • That a member of the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee (ESACAC) BE REQUESTED to attend the next Animal Welfare Community Advisory Committee (AWCAC) meeting to receive comments and questions from the AWCAC in regards to the ESACAC Goldfish Brochure; it being noted that the AWCAC held a general discussion with respect to this matter.
