TOWN AND GOWN COMMITTEE

 

meeting held on September 13, 2017, commencing at 1:00 PM, in Committee Room #5, Second Floor, London City Hall.

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

2nd Report of the Town and Gown Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 2nd Report of the Town and Gown Committee from its meeting held on May 12, 2017, was received.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

Homecoming Update

 

That it BE NOTED that the Town and Gown Committee heard a verbal presentation by P. White, Executive Director, Government Relations and Strategic Partnerships for Western University, with respect to Homecoming.

 

4.

Project LEARN Update

 

That it BE NOTED that the Town and Gown Committee heard a verbal presentation by Sergeant D. Ellyatt, London Police, with respect to Project Learn.

DEFERRED MATTERS/ADDITIONAL BUSINESS

 

5.

(ADDED) London Police Service Community Consultation Process

 

That it BE NOTED that Councillor P. Squire was appointed as the Town and Gown Committee representative for the London Police Service Community Consultation Process meetings; it being further noted that the Town and Gown Committee reviewed and received a communication dated September 5, 2017 from J. Pare, Chief of Police and J. Eberhard, Chair, London Police Services Board, with respect to this matter.

(ADDED) Secondary Dwelling Units

 

That it BE NOTED that the Town and Gown Committee held a general discussion with respect to Secondary Dwelling Units.

(ADDED) Fanshawe College Anniversary Event at Budweiser Gardens

 

That it BE NOTED that the Town and Gown Committee held a general discussion with respect to the Fanshawe College Anniversary event held at Budweiser Gardens.

 

8.

(ADDED) By-law Enforcement Weekend Hours

 

That it BE NOTED that the Town and Gown Committee was advised by Councillor P. Squire that By-law Enforcement Officers work Friday and Saturday evenings enforcing the Noise By-law.
