meeting held on February 15, 2017, commencing at 4:06 PM, in Committee Room #5, Second Floor, London City Hall. 

 

PRESENT:  D. Mitchell (Chair), D. Doroshenko, J. Jordan, H. Ketelaars, W. Pol, D. Szoller and M. Zunti and J. Martin (Secretary).

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

2nd Report of the Cycling Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 2nd Report of the Cycling Advisory Committee, from its meeting held January 18, 2017, was received.

 

3.

Notice of Public Information Centre - Queens Avenue and Colborne Street Cycletracks

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice from D. MacRae, Division Manager, Transportation Planning and Design, with respect to the Public Information Centre held February 8, 2017 regarding the Queens Avenue and Colborne Street Cycletracks, was received.

Cycling Advisory Sub-Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the attached minutes of the Cycling Advisory Sub-Committee, from its meeting held February 7, 2017 were received; it being noted that the Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) held a general discussion with respect to the process for the CAC to promote events to the media.

5.

London Middlesex Road Safety Committee 2017 Priorities Update

 

That it BE NOTED that a verbal update from B. McCall, with respect to the London Middlesex Road Safety Committee 2017 priorities was received.

 

6.

Piccadilly Park Multi-Use Pathway Extension

 

That the Civic Admnistration BE ADVISED that the Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) supports a cycling component for the multi-use pathway extension for Piccadilly Park; it being noted that the CAC received the attached presentation from J. Michaud, Parks Project Coordinator, with respect to this matter.

 

7.

Canada 150 Bike Tour London

 

That it BE NOTED a verbal update from D. Mitchell with respect to Council approval of the Canada 150 Bike Tour London was received; it being noted that the tour will be held on June 24, 2017 with a goal to establish an annual bike tour.

 

8.

Province-Wide Cycling Network Study – Trans-Canada Trail - H. Ketelaars

 

That it BE NOTED that a verbal update from H. Ketelaars with respect to the Province-Wide Cycling Network Study - Trans Canada Trail was received; it being noted that the Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) were advised that a meeting with all partners has been set for February 22, 2017.

2017 Cycling Advisory Committee Work Plan

 

That it BE NOTED that a general discussion with respect to the 2017 Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) Work Plan was held; it being noted that the CAC members were encouraged to review and provide the sub-committee with their top 3 recommendations.

2016 Cycling Advisory Committee Work Plan Summary

 

That it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) held a general discussion with respect to the 2017 Cycling Advisory Committee Work Plan

That it BE NOTED that the attached summary of comments, received at the London Homebuilders Association Lifestyle Home Show, was received.
