That it BE NOTED that the 3rd Report of the Advisory Committee on the Environment from its meeting held on February 1, 2017, was received.

1st Report of the Agriculture Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 1st Report of the Agricultural Advisory Committee from its meeting held on January 18, 2017, was received.

 

5.

2nd Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 2nd Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee from its meeting held on January 19, 2017, was received.

 

6.

2nd Report of the Transportation Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 2nd Report of the Transportation Advisory Committee from its meeting held on February 7, 2017, was received.

Municipal Council resolution from its session held on January 31 and February 1, 2017 with respect to the 2nd Report of the Advisory Committee on the Environment

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution from its meeting held on January 31 and February 1, 2017, with respect to the 2nd Report of the Advisory Committee on the Environment, was received.

That it BE NOTED that the Energy Sub-Committee Reports from the meetings held on June 3, 2016, June 29, 2016, September 2, 2016 and February 1, 2017, were received.

Built Environment Sub-Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Built Environment Sub-Committee Reports from the meetings held on September 2, 2016 and February 2, 2017, were received.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

 

10.

ACE 2016 and 2017 Work Plans

 

That the following actions be taken with respect to the Advisory Committee on the Environment Work Plan:

 

a)         the revised, attached 2017 Work Plan for the Advisory Committee on the             Environment BE FORWARDED to the Municipal Council for             consideration;  and,

 

b)         the revised, attached 2016 Advisory Committee on the Environment             Work Plan Summary BE FORWARDED to the Municipal Council for their             information.

ACE 2016 and 2017 Budgets

 

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment (ACE) held a general discussion with respect to the 2016 and 2017 ACE Budgets.

Urban Agriculture Strategy

 

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment held a general discussion related to the Urban Agriculture Strategy.

 

13.

Urban Agriculture Event Wrap Up

 

That it BE NOTED that the attached Urban Agriculture Event Wrap Up debrief document and verbal report from G. Sass, were received.

 

14.

Provincial Environmental Advisory Committee Symposium

 

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment held a general discussion related to the Provincial Environmental Advisory Committee Symposium.

 

15.

Dark Sky Policy

 

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment held a general discussion related to the Dark Sky Policy.

 

16.

Textile Waste and Diabetes Canada's Textile Diversion Program - REQUEST FOR DELEGATION STATUS

 

That consideration of the delegation request by S. Langer, National Diabetes Trust, related to textile waste and Diabetes Canada's textile diversion program BE DEFERRED to a future meeting of the Advisory Committee on the Environment (ACE) in order to allow the Waste Sub-Committee to follow up with Mr. Langer for more information.

DEFERRED MATTERS/ADDITIONAL BUSINESS

 

17.

(ADDED) Federation of Canadian Municipalities - Diverse Voices for Change Initiative

 

That it BE NOTED that the Advisory Committee on the Environment (ACE) received the Federation of Canadian Municipalities - Diverse Voices for Change Initiative survey; it being noted that the ACE heard a presentation from C. Saunders, City Clerk, with respect to this matter.
