5th Report of the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee

 

That it that the 5th Report of the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee from its meeting held on September 28, 2017, was received.

 

3.

Municipal Council Resolution - 5th Report of the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution adopted at its meeting held on October 17, 2017, with respect to the 5th Report of the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee, was received.

Municipal Council Resolution – Appointment of Alternate Voting Members to the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution adopted at its meeting held on October 17, 2017, with respect to the appointment of R. Harvey and R. Tisdale to the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee, was received.

London Fire Services Statistics - D. Lebold

 

That it BE NOTED that a verbal presentation and the attached statistics from D. LeBold, London Fire Department, with respect to the London Fire Department update, were received.

Neighbourhood Watch London Statistics - G. Lowe

 

That it BE NOTED that a verbal presentation and the attached information and statistics from G. Lowe, Neighbourhood Watch London, with respect to the Neighbourhood Watch London update, were received.

DEFERRED MATTERS/ADDITIONAL BUSINESS

 

7.

(ADDED)  Student Representatives

 

That the City Clerk BE REQUESTED to amend the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee to include non-voting representatives from the London Youth Advisory Council.

 

8.

(ADDED)  Committee Follow-Up

 

That the following actions be taken with respect to Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee follow-up matters:

 

a)            the Executive Director, Neighbourhood Watch London, BE INVITED to provide a presentation at a future meeting with respect to Neighbourhood Watch London updates; and,

b)            the Thames Valley District School Board and the London District Catholic School Board BE REQUESTED to provide youth representation from each organization.

The Community Safety & Crime Prevention Advisory Committee convened in closed session from 12:40 PM to 12:50 PM after having passed a motion to do so, with respect to the following matter:

 

C-1.     A personal matter pertaining to identifiable individuals, including municipal employees, with respect to the 2018 Mayor’s New Year’s Honour List.
