TRANSPORTATION
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
meeting held on May 3,
2016, commencing at 12:15 PM, in Committee Room #4, Second Floor, London City
Hall.
PRESENT: A. Stratton (Chair), G. Bikas, S.
Brooks, G. Debbert, A. Farahi, S. Greenly, H. Ketelaars, J. Peccia and A.
Penney and B. Mercier (Secretary).
ABSENT: J. Kostyniuk and L. Norman.
ALSO PRESENT: M. Elmadhoon, D.
Hall (LTC), T. MacBeth, D. MacRae and A. Pfeffer.
That it BE NOTED that no
pecuniary interests were disclosed.

That it BE NOTED that the 4th Report
of the Transportation Advisory Committee from its meeting held on April 5,
2016, was received.
|
That the following actions be taken with
respect to the School Zone Speed Limit Policy:
a) the
matter of school zone speed limits BE REFERRED to the Transportation
Advisory Committee Review Sub-Committee for further discussion; and,
b) it BE
NOTED that a Report dated April 25, 2016 to the Civic Works Committee,
from the Managing Director, Environmental and Engineering Services and City
Engineer, with respect to this matter, was received.

That the following actions be taken with
respect to the Pedestrian Crossover Program:
a) the
Civic Administration BE ADVISED that the Transportation Advisory
Committee expressed it support and endorsement of the above-noted Program;
and,
b) it BE
NOTED that a Report dated April 25, 2016 to the Civic Works Committee,
from the Managing Director, Environmental and Engineering Services and City
Engineer, with respect to this matter, was received.

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal
Council resolution from its session held on April 5, 2016, with respect to road
authority compliance with the new Regulation 2014-275, was received.
|
That it BE NOTED that the Municipal
Council resolution from its session held on April 5, 2016, with respect to
the 2016 Renew London Infrastructure Construction Program, was received.
|
That it BE NOTED that the following
Notices were received:
a) the
Notice dated April 20, 2016, from M. Johnson, Planner, with respect to an
application submitted by the City of London relating to the London
Psychiatric Hospital Secondary Plan;
b) the
Notice dated April 20, 2016, from M. Johnson, Planner, with respect to an
application submitted by the City of London relating to the Southwest Area
Secondary Plan; and,
c) the
Notice dated April 20, 2016, from B. Turcotte, Senior Planner, with respect
to an application submitted by Ayerswood Development Corp. relating to the
property located at 195 Dundas Street.

That it BE NOTED that a
communication dated April 25, 2016, from A. Stratton, Transportation Advisory
Committee and S. Ratz, Advisory Committee on the Environment, with respect to
an education outreach joint meeting of advisory committees, was received.

That the communication dated April 24,
2016, from J. Kostyniuk, with respect to the Transportation Advisory
Committee (TAC) Work Plan potential additional initiatives relating to the
Transportation Master Plan and Transportation Demand Management, BE
DEFERRED to the next TAC meeting to be held on June 7, 2016.

That it BE NOTED that the
Transportation Advisory Committee heard a delegation from A. Penney, Co-Chair
London Middlesex Road Safety Committee and M. Elmadhoon, Traffic Planning
Engineer, with respect to the London Road Safety Strategy.
