meeting held on October 5, 2017, commencing at 5:06 PM, in Committee Room #3, Second Floor, London City Hall. 

 

PRESENT:     W. Brown (Chair), K. Ashe, H. DeHoog, M. Gelinas, A. Hayes, P. Lystar, M. Toplack and J. Martin (Secretary). 

 

ABSENT:  E. Nicholas, M. Puzanov and D. Simpson.

CALL TO ORDER

              That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

Hyde Park Stormwater Modifications as it Affects Wildlife

 

              That it BE NOTED that the attached presentation from D. Gough, Environmental Services Engineer with respect to the Hyde Park Stormwater Modifications, as it affects wildlife, was received; it being noted that the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee (AWAC) referred this matter to the AWAC subcommittee for review and report back with respect to proposed considerations related to stormwater management modifications.

CONSENT ITEMS

 

3.

8th Report of the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee

 

              That Clause 4 of the 8th Report of the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee with respect to a request to consider an amendment to the Animal Control By-law PH-3 by deleting section 3.6 “Public park-zoo-fair-exhibition-circus-licensed” in its entirety at this time, BE RESCINDED; it being noted that the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee (AWAC) has referred the matter to the AWAC sub-committee for re-evaluation.

Municipal Council Resolution - 7th Report of the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee.

 

              That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution adopted at its meeting held September 19, 2017 with respect to the 7th Report of the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee, was received.

Animal Welfare Advisory Committee Working Group

           

              That it BE NOTED that a communication from the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee Working Group with respect to the Animal Control By-law PH-3, was received.

MEMBER SUBMISSION - One River - Creating a Master Plan

 

That the Director, Water and Wastewater BE REQUESTED to provide a presentation to the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee with respect to One River – Creating a Master Plan, as it relates to animal welfare and urban wildlife.
