That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee (EEPAC) received the attached presentation from S. Mathers, Manager, Water Engineering, with respect to the One River Environmental Assessment:  Background and Environmental Work Plan.

That it BE NOTED that the 3rd Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee, from its meeting held on March 16, 2017, was received.

4th and 5th Reports of the Advisory Committee on the Environment

 

That it BE NOTED that the 4th and 5th Reports of the Advisory Committee on the Environment from its meetings held on March 1 and April 5, 2017, respectively, were received.

 

5.

Municipal Council Resolution - Woodland Acquisition Fund changes

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution from its session held on March 21, 2017, with respect to the Woodland Acquisition Fund changes, was received.

Municipal Council Resolution - 3rd Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution from its session held on April 4, 2017, with respect to the 3rd Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee, was received.

Eagle Ridge Environmental Impact Statement Update - 810 Westdel Bourne, Portion of 1055 Westdel Bourne, 1079 Westdel Bourne, 1959 and 1997 Oxford Street West (39T-1501/Z-8725)

 

That it BE NOTED that S. Levin indicated that he would review the Eagle Ridge Environmental Impact Statement update with respect to the properties located at 810 Westdel Bourne, a portion of 1055 Westdel Bourne, 1079 Westdel Bourne, 1959 and 1998 Oxford Street West with a report back at the next Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee meeting.

Fulbright Canada RBC Eco-Leadership Grant

 

That the Fulbright Canada RBC Eco-Leadership Grant discussion BE POSTPONED to the June 22, 2017 Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee meeting to allow Mr. J. Stinziano an opportunity to provide input on this matter.

Medway Environmentally Significant Area - Community Day Event

 

That it BE NOTED that the communication from L. McDougall, Ecologist Planner, with respect to the Medway Environmentally Significant Area Community Day Event to be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, was received.

Commissioners Road Realignment - Class Environmental Assessment Study - Notice of Public Information Centre No. 1

 

That it BE NOTED that the communication submitted by S. Keen, Consultant Project Manager, CIMA Canada Inc. and T. Koza, Project Manager, the City of London, with respect to the Notice of Public Information Centre No. 1 for the Commissioners Road Realignment - Class Environmental Assessment Study, was received.

Victory for Snapping Turtles

 

That it BE NOTED that the communication from S. Levin, with respect to the cessation of the hunting of snapping turtles in Ontario, was received.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

 

12.

Workplan

 

That the Committee Secretary BE REQUESTED to place the 2017 Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee Work Plan on every Agenda.

 

13.

London's Cats and Birds Brochure

 

That the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee held a general discussion with respect to their proposed “Is your cat safe outdoors?” brochure; it being noted that the Members were requested to provide feedback on where the pamphlet should be distributed, noting that veterinary offices, placing the brochure in with the license renewal and putting a link in the pamphlet to the City of London website by-law section, were discussed.

 

14.

Lower Dingman Trails Advisory Group

 

That R. Trudeau BE APPOINTED as the Alternate Representative to the Lower Dingman Trails Advisory Group; it being noted that the EEPAC currently has a Representative on the Lower Dingman Trails Advisory Group.

DEFERRED MATTERS/ADDITIONAL BUSINESS

 

15.

(ADDED) Green Standards for Light Pollution and Bird Friendly Development

 

That the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee (EEPAC) held a general discussion with respect to their proposed “Green Standards for Light Pollution and Bird-Friendly Development” pamphlet; it being noted that the Working Group was requested to seek feedback from the Civic Administration, the London Development Institute and the Advisory Committee on the Environment and to report back at the next EEPAC meeting.

 

16.

(ADDED) Earth Day London 2017

 

That it BE NOTED that the communication from C. Creighton, Land Use Planner, Upper Thames River Conservation Area, with respect to the Earth Day London 2017 to be held on April 23, 2017, was received.

 

17.

(ADDED) June EEPAC Meeting Date

 

That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee changed its June 15, 2017 meeting date to June 22, 2017 at the request of the Committee Secretary.

 

18.

(ADDED) Signage

 

That the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee BE REQUESTED to consider a public education initiative with respect to asking people to not feed birds bread; it being noted that the EEPAC Members have noticed people feeding birds bread on several occasions in park areas.
