Recommendation: That it BE NOTED
that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

Recommendation: That it BE NOTED
that the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Integrated
Accessibility Standards orientation was received.

Recommendation: That it BE NOTED
that 5th Report of the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory
Committee, from its meeting held on April 16, 2015, was received.

Recommendation: That it BE NOTED
that the communication with respect to the Diverse, Inclusive and welcoming
community strategy of the City of London Strategic Plan 2015 – 2019 was
received.

Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship
|
|
Recommendation: That it BE NOTED
that the communication dated April 2015, from Minister M. Chan, Ministry of
Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade, with respect to the Ontario
Medal for Good Citizenship, was received.

Recommendation: That it BE NOTED
that the Education Sub-committee will continue to work on the development of
a list of diversity definitions, a list of acronyms specific to London and a
diversity at work information package; it being noted that the Education sub-committee
minutes from its meeting held on April 30, 2015, including the diversity
definitions from the Halifax Regional School board, a list of acronyms, a
communication from the hrcouncil with respect to diversity at work and the attached
calendar were received.

Recommendation: That it BE NOTED
that the Award and Recognition sub-committee will continue to develop the
Diversity, Race Relations and Inclusivity Award By-law; it being noted that
the Award and Recognition sub-committee minutes from its meeting held on May
4, 2015, the By-law B2017-284 and the Diversity, Race Relations and
Inclusivity Recognition Award were received.

Recommendation: That it BE NOTED
that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee will continue
to review a committee name change; it being noted that the LDRRAC held a
general discussion with respect to this matter.

Recommendation: That all nomination
requests requiring municipal support BE REFERRED to Civic
Administration for administration.
|
|
Recommendation: That Civic Administration BE
REQUESTED to consider the attached comments for inclusion in the Urban
Design and GIS and Downtown Design Manual.
|
|
Recommendation: That the author of the
Racism in London Article BE INVITED to a future meeting of the London
Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee to discuss how we can create
change with respect to Racism in London.
