That it BE NOTED that the presentation by C. Da Silva, Specialist, Municipal (AODA) and K. Koltun, Government and External Relations Officer, as appended to the agenda, with respect to an update on the Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, was received.

That it BE NOTED that the 5th Report of the Accessibility Advisory Committee, from its meeting held on May 25, 2017, was received.

Letters of Resignation

 

That it BE NOTED that the letters of resignation from the Accessibility Advisory Committee from F. de Lasa and K. Walsh, were received.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

 

6.

Election of a New Education and Awareness Sub-Committee Chair

 

That it BE NOTED that the Accessibility Advisory Committee elected J. Menard as Chair of the Education and Awareness Sub-Committee.

 

7.

Status of Community Forums

 

That it BE NOTED that the Accessibility Advisory Committee (ACCAC) held a general discussion related to the status of the upcoming ACCAC community forums.

 

8.

2017 Accessibility Advisory Committee Work Plan Update

 

That Municipal Council BE REQUESTED to direct Civic Administration to apply an “accessibility lens” when reviewing policies and procedures in addition to the “gender lens” that is already being applied; it being noted that the Accessibility Advisory Committee (ACCAC) held a general discussion with respect to the 2017 ACCAC Work Plan.

 

9.

Summer Meeting Dates

 

That it BE NOTED that the Accessibility Advisory Committee will meet on July 27, 2017.
