meeting held on October 18, 2017, commencing at 4:09 PM, in Committee Room #4, Second Floor, London City Hall.

CALL TO ORDER

 

1.

Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest

 

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

Shift Rapid Transit Update

 

That it BE NOTED that a presentation from J. Ramsay, Project Director Rapid Transit, with respect to Shift Rapid Transit, was received.

3.

9th Report of the Cycling Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 9th Report of the Cycling Advisory Committee, from its meeting held September 20, 2017, was received.

 

4.

Resilient Cities Conference - November 17 and 18, 2017

 

              That support in the amount of $500.00 from the 2017 Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) budget for the Advisory Committee on the Environment (ACE) Resilient Cities Conference BE APPROVED; it being noted that the communication dated September 14, 2017 from S. Ratz, Chair of the ACE, was received.

 

5.

Bike Advocacy Summit - London Cycle Link

 

That it BE NOTED that an invitation from London Cycle Link with respect to a Bike Advocacy Summit targeting Southwestern Ontario cities being held Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Innovation Works, was received; it being noted that J. Jordan will attend the Summit on behalf of the Cycling Advisory Committee.

Cycling Advisory Sub-Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that a verbal update from D. Mitchell, on behalf of the Cycling Advisory Sub-Committee, was received.

Trans Canada Trail Update

 

That it BE NOTED that a verbal update from D. MacRae, with respect to the progress of the Trans Canada Trail, was received.


 

8.

Cycling Advisory Committee - Terms of Reference

 

That it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Committee, was advised that the Chair of the Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) and the Chair of the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) will be meeting with the Director, Roads and Transportation on November 20, 2017 to review the Advisory Committee Terms of Reference.

DEFERRED MATTERS/ADDITIONAL BUSINESS

 

 

 

9.

(ADDED) Next Meeting of the Cycling Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Committee set November 22, 2017 as its next meeting, following the Rapid Transit Municipal Advisory Group stakeholder session scheduled for November 21, 2017.

 

10.

(ADDED) Cycling Advisory Committee Budget

 

              That it BE NOTED that the Cycling Advisory Committee (CAC) approved an expenditure of up to $500.00 to produce cycling promotion and education publications for distribution at the Resilient Cities Conference and future cycling-related events; it being noted that the CAC has sufficient funds in its 2017 budget for these expenditures.
