ADVISORY COMMITTEE
meeting held on September
6, 2016, commencing at 12:15 PM, in Committee Room #4, Second Floor, London
City Hall.

ABSENT: G. Debbert, A. Farahi and J. Peccia.

Kinsley, T. MacBeth and A. Pfeffer.
That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary
interests were disclosed.

That it BE NOTED that the 7th Report of the
Transportation Advisory Committee from its meeting held on July 5, 2016, was
received.
|
That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council
resolution from its session held on July 26, 2016, and a staff report dated
July 18, 2016, from the Managing Director, Environmental and Engineering
Services and City Engineer with respect the Richmond Street Recreational
Pathway Crossing Environmental Study Report, were received.

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council
resolution from its session held on July 26, 2016, with respect to the Draft School
Zone Speed Limit Policy, was received.
|
That it BE NOTED that a Notice dated August
29, 2016, from L. Mottram, Senior Planner, with respect to an application
submitted by Sifton Properties Limited relating to the property located at
2619 Sheffield Boulevard, was received.

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council
resolution from its session held on March 22, 2016, with respect to the
provision of child minding services for the public at Public Participation Meetings
related to a Standing Committee Meeting, was received; it being noted that
the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) supports child minding at Public
Participation Meetings of Municipal Council Standing Committees and the need
for the provision of child minding services at Advisory Committee meetings,
as this initiative may encourage interested individuals who may not otherwise
be able to participate, due to lack of available childcare.

That it BE NOTED that discussion with
respect to the Intercity Bus in Ontario – Long Term Trends and Future Options
document, dated July 2016 by H. Valentine, was deferred to the October
meeting of the Transportation Advisory Committee.

That the following actions be taken with
respect to the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) 2016 Work Plan:
a) the
Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to attend a future meeting of the TAC to
make a presentation with respect to Dundas Place as it relates to
transportation; and,
b) it BE
NOTED that the TAC committee reviewed and updated its 2016 Work Plan and a
related communication dated August 28, 2016, from J. Kostyniuk.

That it BE NOTED that a Notice of Study
Completion dated July 29, 2016, with respect to the Veterans Memorial Parkway
Extension and Highway 401 Interchange Improvements, was received.
|
That it BE NOTED that a Notice of Study
Commencement dated August 8, 2016, with respect to the detailed Design and
Class Environmental Assessment Study – Highway 401 Reconstruction – Counties
of Elgin and Middlesex, City of London, was received.

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council
resolution from its session held on August 30, 2016, with respect to a Draft
Coloured Crosswalk Policy, was received.

(ADDED) Not By Accident Conference
|
That it BE NOTED that the Transportation
Advisory Committee (TAC) approved expenditures of up to $750.00 for
registration fees for committee members for the Not By Accident Conference being
held Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn; it being
noted that the TAC has sufficient funds in its 2016 budget for these
expenditures.
