ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECOLOGICAL PLANNING

ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 

meeting held on December 15, 2016, commencing at 5:00 PM, in Committee Rooms #1 and #2, Second Floor, London City Hall.

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

Election of Chair and Vice-Chair for the term ending November 30, 2017

 

That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee elected S. Levin as Chair, for the term ending November 30, 2017 and postponed consideration of Vice Chair to its next meeting.

Sunninglea Scoped Environmental Impact Study

 

That the Working Group comments, related to the Sunninglea Scoped Environmental Impact Study BE FORWARDED to the Civic Administration for consideration; it being noted that the delegation was rescheduled.

12th Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 12th Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee from its meeting held on November 17, 2016, was received.

 

5.

Municipal Council Resolution - 11th Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution adopted at its session held on November 8, 2016, with respect to the 11th Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee, was received.

Municipal Council Resolution - Properties located at 1577 and 1687 Wilton Grove Road

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution adopted at its session held on November 22, 2016, with respect to the application by the Corporation of the City of London, relating to the properties located at 1577 and 1687 Wilton Grove Road, was received.

Addendum to the Medway Valley Heritage Forest ESA Natural Heritage Inventory and Evaluation

 

That consideration of the Addendum to the Medway Valley Heritage Forest Environmentally Significant Areas Natural Heritage Inventory and Evaluation BE POSTPONED to the next Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee meeting.

City Responses to EEPAC’s Comments on Draft Ecological Restoration Plan for Westminster Ponds / Pond Mills ESA Saunders Cabin Area by St. Williams Nursery and Ecology Centre

 

That it BE NOTED that the communication dated November 29, 2016, from Environmental and Parks Planning, with respect to the City responses (November 2016) to the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee's comments relating to the draft Ecological Restoration Plan for Westminster Ponds/Pond Mills Environmentally Significant Area, Saunders Cabin area by St. Williams Nursery and Ecology Centre, from September, 2016, was received.

Bradley Avenue Extension - Wonderland Road South to Wharncliffe Road South

 

That it BE NOTED that the communication dated November 29, 2016, from H. Schuurmans, AGM Engineering Ltd., and M. Kireev, Environmental and Engineering Services, City of London, with respect to the Bradley Avenue Extension road construction from Wonderland Road South to Wharncliffe Road South, was received.

City-initiated Official Plan review for 1663  Commissioners Road East, 1685 Commissioners Road East and 2652 Jackson Road

 

That it BE NOTED that a Notice dated December 8, 2016 from L. Mottram, Senior Planner, with respect to the application by 748094 Ontario Limited and 2624 Jackson Road Inc., relating to the properties located at 1635 Commissioners Road East and 2624 Jackson Road, was received.

Roaming Cats

 

That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee (EEPAC) held a general discussion with respect to cats roaming in Environmentally Significant Areas; it being noted that the EEPAC will discuss this matter further at its next meeting.

North Huron Industrial Lands Status Report

 

That the Working Group comments, related to the North Huron Industrial Lands Subject Land Status Report, BE FORWARDED to the Civic Administration for consideration.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

Workplan

 

That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee (EEPAC) held a general discussion with respect to their 2016 Work Plan.

 

14.

Brainstorming/Dark Sky Initiative

 

That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee (EEPAC) held a general discussion with respect to their brainstorming projects; it being noted that the EEPAC requested that the projects be included on every Agenda.

 

VII.

DEFERRED MATTERS/ADDITIONAL BUSINESS

 

15.

(ADDED) Forest City South Industrial Park Environmental Impact Study

 

That a Working Group, consisting of S. Levin (lead), K. Moser and A. Regehr, BE ESTABLISHED to review the Forest City South Industrial Park Environmental Impact Study and to report back at the next Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee meeting.
