TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 

meeting held on February 7, 2017, commencing at 12:15 PM, in Committee Room #4, Second Floor, London City Hall.

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

2.

1st Report of the Transportation Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 1st Report of the Transportation Advisory Committee from its meeting held on December 6, 2016, was received.

 

3.

2017 Renew London Infrastructure Construction Program

 

That the London Transit Commission BE REQUESTED to make a presentation to the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) with respect to future public transportation plans for Sarnia Road in relation to the two-lane upgrade; it being noted that the TAC received a staff report dated January 10, 2017, with respect to this matter.

 

4.

Overview of Activities from the Cycling Advisory Committee (H. Ketelaars)

 

That Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to make a presentation to the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) related to the Downtown Parking Strategy upon its completion; it being noted that the TAC received a submission from H. Ketelaars with respect to an overview of activities from the Cycling Advisory Committee.

Notice of Application by Sifton Properties Limited re properties located at 3614 and 3630 Colonel Talbot Road and 6621 Pack Road

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice from N. Pasato, Senior Planner, dated January 11, 2017, with respect to the application by Sifton Properties Limited relating to the properties located at 3614 and 3630 Colonel Talbot Road and 6621 Pack Road, was received.

Sarnia Road Improvements - Hyde Park Road to Oakcrossing Gate

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice from T. Koza, Transportation Design Engineer, dated January 11, 2017, with respect to Sarnia Road Improvements from Hyde Park Road to Oakcrossing Gate, was received.

Wonderland Road South - Road Construction - Highway 401 to Highway 402

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice from M. Elmadhoon, Traffic Planning Engineer, dated January 9, 2017, with respect to the Wonderland Road South Road Construction from Highway 401 to Highway 402, was received.

2017 Annual Warranted Sidewalk Program

 

That it BE NOTED that the 2017 Annual Warranted Sidewalk Program, as outlined in the staff report dated February 7, 2017, was endorsed by the Transportation Advisory Committee.

Construction Project Closures, Impact on Traffic Routings and Transit Routings

 

That it BE NOTED that the Transportation Advisory Committee held a general discussion related to construction project closures, impact on traffic routings and transit routings.

Work Plan

 

That it BE NOTED that the Transportation Advisory Committee held a general discussion with respect to the 2016 and 2017 Work Plans.

(ADDED) Terms of Reference for the Transportation Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution from its session held on January 31 and February 1, 2017, with respect to the Terms of Reference for the Transportation Advisory Committee, was received.

 

12.

(ADDED) Notice of Application by The City of London re Wonderland Road Community Enterprise Corridor land use designation in the Southwest Area Secondary Plan

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice from J. Adema, Planner II, dated February 1, 2017, with respect to the application by the City of London relating to the Wonderland Road Community Enterprise Corridor land use designation in the Southwest Area Secondary Plan, was received.

 

13.

(ADDED) Community Safety Week

 

That it BE NOTED that the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) was informed by L. Norman that the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee will be hosting a safety week event in May and that further details will be provided to the TAC when they are available.

 

14.

(ADDED) Rapid Transit

 

That Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to make a presentation to the Transportation Advisory Committee related to Rapid Transit, at a future meeting.
