Early Stages of the Residual Waste Disposal Strategy

 

That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee (EEPAC) received the attached presentation from J. Stanford, Director, Environment, Fleet and Solid Waste and W. Abbott, Project Manager, Solid Waste Management, with respect to the early stages of the Residual Waste Disposal Strategy including an Environmental Assessment for the expansion of the W12A landfill and the development of the Resource Recovery Strategy; it being noted that the EEPAC members are encouraged to provide feedback with respect to this matter.

That it BE NOTED that the 5th Report of the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee from its meeting held on May 18, 2017, was received.

That it BE NOTED that the 7th Report of the Advisory Committee on the Environment from its meeting held on June 7, 2017, was received.

 

5.

Southdale Road West Improvements - Pine Valley Boulevard to Colonel Talbot Road - Municipal Class Environmental Assessment - Notice of Study Commencement

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice of Study Commencement dated May 22, 2017 from T. Koza, Project Manager, Corporation of the City of London and P. McAllister, Project Manager, AECOM Canada, with respect to the Southdale Road West improvements, from Pine Valley Boulevard to Colonel Talbot Road Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, was received.

Bostwick Road Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study - Notice of Public Information Centre #2

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice of Public Information Centre #2 from H. Huotari, Project Manager, Parsons Inc. and M. Elmadhoon, Traffic and Transportation Engineer, City of London, for Bostwick Road from Southdale Road to the intersection at Wharncliffe Road South Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, was received.

 

7.

Hyde Park Community Storm Drainage and Stormwater Management Servicing Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Addendum

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice of Addendum Commencement and Public Information Centre dated June 27, 2017 from D. Gough, Environmental Services Engineer and C. Moon, Project Manager, AECOM, with respect to the Hyde Park Community Storm Drainage and Stormwater Management Servicing Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Addendum, was received.

Extension of Veterans Memorial Parkway Design

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice dated June 9, 2017 from M. Kireev, Transportation Planning and Design and I. Bartlett, Stantec Consulting Inc., with respect to the extension of Veterans Memorial Parkway from Huron Street to Clarke Road, was received.

Construction Notice  - Kiwanis Park Pathway Connection

 

That it BE NOTED that the Construction Notice dated June 9, 2017 from A. Spahiu, Transportation Design Engineer, with respect to the Kiwanis Park Pathway Connection, was received.

10.

Workplan

 

That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Planning Advisory Committee held a general discussion with respect to its 2017 work plan.

 

11.

Medway Forest Community Meeting

 

That it BE NOTED that a presentation from K. Moser, with respect to the Medway Forest Conservation Master Plan was received; it being noted that the members were encouraged to complete the survey and provide feedback with respect to this matter.

 

12.

Fulbright Canada RBC Eco-Leadership Grant – Joe Stinziano

 

That it BE NOTED that a verbal presentation from J. Stinziano with respect to Fulbright Canada RBC Eco-Leadership grants was received; it being noted that the EEPAC provided a number of project suggestions with respect to this matter.

 

13.

London Cats and Birds Pamphlet

 

That delegation status for a member of the Environmental and Ecological Advisory Committee to attend a meeting of the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee to gather their feedback with respect to the Cats and Birds pamphlet, BE REQUESTED; it being noted that Corporate Communications has reviewed the pamphlet.

Summer Meeting Schedule - Discussion

 

That it BE NOTED that the Environmental and Ecological Advisory Committee will meet on July 20, 2017.

DEFERRED MATTERS/ADDITIONAL BUSINESS

 

15.

(ADDED) Invitation for Representatives to Participate in the London Phragmites Working Group (LPWG)

 

That it BE NOTED that the potential appointment of S. Siva Kumar as the EEPAC representative to the London Phragmites Working Group was supported in principle; it being noted that S. Siva Kumar has not yet been confirmed as an appointed EEPAC member.

(ADDED) Notice of Completion - Mud Creek Subwatershed Schedule B Municipal Class EA

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice of Completion for the Mud Creek Subwatershed Schedule B Municipal Class EA from D. Gough, Environmental Services Engineer and T. Mahood, Project Manager, CH2M, was received.

 

17.

(ADDED) Green Standards for Light Pollution and Bird-Friendly Development

 

That the draft recommended Green Standards for Light Pollution and Bird-Friendly Development BE REFERRED back to the Working Group for review and compilation of all edits including feedback from the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee; it being noted that the Environmental and Ecological Advisory Committee held a general discussion with respect to this matter .
