meeting held on March 23, 2017, commencing at 3:03 PM, in Committee Room #4, Second Floor, London City Hall.

Ranked Choice Voting

 

That it BE NOTED that the Accessibility Advisory Committee heard a presentation from C. Saunders, City Clerk and G. Tucker, Communications Specialist, related to ranked choice voting for the 2018 Municipal Election.

 

3.

Accessibility of Public Spaces

 

That it BE NOTED that the Accessibility Advisory Committee heard a presentation from C. Da Silva, Specialist, Municipal Policy (AODA), T. Wellhauser, Division Manager, Facilities, A. Macpherson, Manager, Environmental and Parks Planning and K. Grabowski, Transportation Design Engineer, related to the accessibility of public spaces.

Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy - Update

 

That it BE NOTED that the Accessibility Advisory Committee (ACCAC) heard a presentation from C. Da Silva, Specialist, Municipal Policy (AODA) and K. Koltun, Government and External Relations Officer related to an update on the Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy; it being noted that the ACCAC was provided with a staff report, dated March 28, 2017, as included on the Community and Protective Services Committee agenda, with respect to this matter.

Built Environment and Facilities Sub-Committee

 

That the Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to provide references/connections or copies of technical drawings that outline field construction details (such as dimensional profiles for changes in elevations) that may be applicable to the accessibility design features of sidewalks and street access routes to the Built Environment and Facilities Sub-Committee; it being noted that the Built Environment and Facilities Sub-Committee report, dated March 13, 2017, was received.

Education and Awareness Sub-Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Education and Awareness Sub-Committee report, dated March 6, 2017, was received; it being noted that J. Madden was also in attendance at that meeting.

Policy Sub-Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the Policy Sub-Committee report, dated March 6, 2017, was received.

That it BE NOTED that the 2nd Report of the Accessibility Advisory Committee from its meeting held on February 23, 2017, was received.

Revised Notice - Music, Entertainment and Culture Districts Feasibility Study

 

That it BE NOTED that the Revised Notice from C. Parker, Senior Planner, related to the Music, Entertainment and Culture Districts Feasibility Study was referred to the Policy Sub-Committee for review.

Notice of  Application - City of London - City Wide

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice from L. Maitland, Planner I, dated March 8, 2017, with respect to the application by the City of London, relating to an amendment applying to the lands within the Southwest Area Secondary Plan, was received.

Invitation for Representatives to Participate in a Local Advisory Committee

 

That Jacqueline Madden BE APPOINTED as the Accessibility Advisory Committee representative on the Local Advisory Committee of the Conservation Master Plan (CMP) for the Medway Valley Heritage Forest, Environmentally Significant Area (MVHF ESA).

Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) - Diverse Voices for Change Initiative

 

That it BE NOTED that the Accessibility Advisory Committee received the FCM Diverse Voices for Change Initiative survey.

(ADDED) Commissioners Road Realignment Class Environmental Assessment Study - Notice of Public Information Centre No. 1

 

That it BE NOTED that the Notice from S. Keen, Project Manager, dated March 14, 2017, with respect to the Commissioners Road Realignment Class Environmental Assessment Study Notice of Public Information Centre No. 1, was received.
