That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received the Municipal Council resolution, from its meeting held on July 26, 2016, with respect to the 6th Report of the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

Name Change Survey

That the Municipal Council BE REQUESTED to consider changing the name of the “London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee” to the “Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Oppression Advisory Committee” (DIAAC); it being noted that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee will be seeking delegation status to provide additional context with respect to this request.

Municipal Council Resolution - Provision of Child Minding

Services for the Public at Public Participation Meetings

That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee (LDRRAC) supports child minding at Public Participation Meetings of Municipal Council Standing Committees and the need for the provision of child minding services at Advisory Committee meetings, as this initiative would help to remove a barrier for interested individuals who may not otherwise be able to participated due to lack of available childcare; it being noted that the LDRRAC would like to be involved in the development of this potential initiative.
