meeting held on March 19, 2015, commencing at 12:05 PM, in Committee Room #5, Second Floor, London City Hall.

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

ORGANIZATIONAL MATTERS

Election of Chair and Vice Chair for the Term Ending November 30, 2015

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee elected C. Callander as its Chair and S. Lewkowitz as its Vice Chair for the term ending November 30, 2015.

 

3.

Committee Orientation

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received an orientation from J. Martin, Committee Secretary.

4.

Urban Design and GIS and Downtown Design Manual

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee (LDRRAC) received a presentation from S. Galloway, Manager, Urban Design and B. O’Hagan, Urban Designer, with respect to the draft Urban Design and GIS and Downtown Design Manuals; it being noted that the members of LDRRAC are encouraged to further review these matters, for additional discussion at a future LDRRAC meeting.

2nd and 3rd Reports of the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received the 2nd and 3rd Reports of the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee, from its meetings held on January 15, 2015 and February 18, 2015, respectively; it being noted that the attendance record was corrected on the 3rd Report.

2nd Report of the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received a Municipal Council resolution from its meeting held on January 27, 2015 with respect to the 2nd Report of the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee.

 

7.

2nd Report of the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received a Municipal Council resolution from its meeting held on January 27, 2015 with respect to the 1st Report of the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee.

 

8.

Appointment of Members to the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received a Municipal Council resolution from its meeting held on March 10, 2015 with respect to the appointment of M. Goodfellow and F. Andrighetti to the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee, as resource members.

 

9.

Appointment of Members to the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received a Municipal Council resolution from its meeting held on February 24, 2015 with respect to the appointment of members to the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee.

 

10.

Message of Canadian Commission for UNESCO

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received a communication dated March 9, 2015, from Louise Filiatrault, Secretary-General, Canadian Commission for UNESCO, with respect to the International Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination, March 21, 2015 / 10th Anniversary of the Canadian Coalition of Municipalities against Racism and Discrimination.

 

11.

London Police Citizen Academy Invite

 

Recommendation:  That it BE NOTED that the London Diversity and Race Relations Advisory Committee received a communication dated March 9, 2015, from T. Allott, Diversity Officer, London Police Service, with respect to an invitation to the London Police Citizen’s Academy.
