The City of London is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek (AUh-nish-in-ah-bek), Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-no-show-nee), Lūnaapéewak (Len-ah-pay-wuk) and Attawandaron (Add-a-won-da-run).
We honour and respect the history, languages and culture of the diverse Indigenous people who call this territory home. The City of London is currently home to many First Nations, Métis and Inuit today.
As representatives of the people of the City of London, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and live in this territory.

    The meeting was called to order at 4:32 PM; it being noted that B. Amendola, R. Duvernoy, A. Hames, C. Hunsberger, A. Pert and L. Vuong were in remote attendance.  

     

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

  • That it BE NOTED that the 4th Report of the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee, from its meeting held on March 6, 2024, was received.

  • That it BE NOTED that the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee held a discussion with respect to the Climate Emergency Action Plan Working Group update; it being noted that a meeting will be held shortly with A. Sercombe, Manager Public Communications, Corporate Communications to discuss the Climate Emergency Action Plan.

  • That it BE NOTED that the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee (ESACAC) held a discussion with the Civic Administration with respect to the current status of the Urban Agricultural Strategy and the City of London Food Security team; it being noted that the Civic Administration will return to the ESACAC in June, 2024, to discuss who will be responsible for this file moving forward.

  • That N. Musicco, Manager, Policy and Special Operations, BE INVITED to a future Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee (ESACAC) meeting with respect to the Business Licensing By-law; it being noted that the ESACAC held a general discussion with respect to invasive species and the Business Licensing By-law.
