The City of London is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek (AUh-nish-in-ah-bek), Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-no-show-nee), Lūnaapéewak (Len-ah-pay-wuk) and Attawandaron (Add-a-won-da-run).
We honour and respect the history, languages and culture of the diverse Indigenous people who call this territory home. The City of London is currently home to many First Nations, Métis and Inuit today.
As representatives of the people of the City of London, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and live in this territory.

    The meeting was called to order at 4:43 PM; it being noted that R. Duvernoy, I. ElGhamrawy, A. Ford, A. Hames, M.A. Hodge and N. Serour were in remote attendance. 

     

That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary interests were disclosed.

  • That the Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to report back at a future meeting with the feasibility of providing consumer information about pet goldfish; it being noted that the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee held a general discussion with respect to the Business Licensing By-law communication that was included on the April 7, 2024 ESACAC Agenda.

  • That it BE NOTED that the 5th Report of the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee, from its meeting held on April 3, 2024, was received.

  • That it BE NOTED that the Municipal Council resolution adopted at its meeting held on April 2, 2024 with respect to the 4th Report of the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee, from its meeting held on March 6, 2024, was received.

  • That it BE NOTED that the resignation of C. Hunsberger was received with regret.

  • That the Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee held a general discussion with respect to the CEAP Working Group meeting that was held with Corporate Communications staff; it being noted that the Working Group is in the process of preparing a report that will appear on a future agenda relating to next steps.

  • That, upon completion and approval to possible amendments to the Neighbourhood Decision Making Program by the Municipal Council, the Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to attend a future Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee (ESACAC) meeting; it being noted that the ESACAC held a discussion with respect to this matter.

  • That it BE NOTED that the Notice of Planning Application dated March 21, 2024 with respect to City-Wide Amendments to the Environmental Policies of The London Plan, was received.
