That it BE NOTED that no pecuniary
interests were disclosed.

That it BE NOTED that the Trees and Forests
Advisory Committee received a presentation dated September 2016, prepared by
St. Williams Nursery and Ecology Centre, with respect to the Draft Ecological
Restoration Plan for Westminister Ponds/Pond Mills ESA - Saunders Cabin Area
Ecological Restoration Plan.

That it BE NOTED that the Trees and Forests
Advisory Committee (TFAC) received a verbal presentation from J. MacKay,
Ecologist with respect to the Draft City-Wide Terrestrial Invasive Plant
Strategy; it being noted that the Draft City-Wide Terrestrial Invasive Plant
Strategy is available on request for review; it being further noted that individual
comments can be submitted for consideration to its Committee Secretary for
November 17, 2016.

That it BE NOTED that the Trees and Forests
Advisory Committee received a verbal update from S. Rowland, Urban Forestry
Planner with respect to the Tree Planting Strategy; it being noted that the
Draft Tree Planting Strategy will be presented at a future meeting of the
TFAC.

That it BE NOTED that the 9th Report of the
Trees and Forests Advisory Committee, from its meeting held on September 28,
2016, was received.

That it BE NOTED that the Trees and Forests
Advisory Committee received a verbal update from C. Linton with respect to
the 1995 Dingman Creek Objectives.

That it BE NOTED that the Trees and Forests
Advisory Committee (TFAC) received a verbal update from the Committee
Secretary on behalf of the Division Manager, Transportation and Roadside
Operations, with respect to watering options for 2017; it being noted that forestry
operations will continue with the same plan used in 2016 whereby additional
resources to increase the frequency of tree watering will be deployed when a
‘watering alert’ is issued, as well as requesting residents to assist by
watering trees.

Planting Pre-Assumption in New
Neighbourhoods Update

That it BE NOTED that the Trees and Forests
Advisory Committee (TFAC) received a verbal update from A. MacPherson, Manager,
Environmental and Parks Planning, with respect to street tree planting, pre-assumption,
in new subdivisions; it being noted that the Civic Administration looks into
the timing of planting to permit phased planting, with a goal to planting
trees as soon as practical.
