6th Report of the London Housing Advisory Committee

 

That it BE NOTED that the 6th Report of the London Housing Advisory Committee from its meeting held on October 14, 2015, was received.

 

3.

Mayor's Advisory Panel on Poverty - Community Engagement

 

That it BE NOTED that the communication dated November 3, 2015, from the Poverty Panel with respect to the Mayor’s Advisory Panel on Poverty: community engagement, was received.

 

4.

Ontario Government One Step Closer to Allowing Doubling of Land Transfer Taxes on Home Buyers Province-Wide

 

That the Civic Administration BE REQUESTED to provide ongoing updates to the London Housing Advisory Committee with respect to the review of the Municipal Act and how it may affect the Land Transfer Tax; it being noted that a press release dated October 27, 2015, from the Ontario Real Estate Association with respect to this matter, was received.

That the attached submission from the London Housing Advisory Committee with respect to the feedback requested by the Mayor’s Advisory Panel on Poverty, BE FORWARDED to the Mayor’s Advisory Panel on Poverty for consideration in their recommendations.

7.

Safe Housing Conditions for Vulnerable Persons Working Group

 

That it BE NOTED that the London Housing Advisory Committee received a verbal update from S. Giustizia, Manager, Housing, with respect to the safe housing conditions for vulnerable persons working group.

 

8.

2016 London Housing Advisory Committee Work Plan

 

That it BE NOTED that the London Housing Advisory Committee (LHAC) held a general discussion with respect to the 2016 LHAC Work Plan; it being noted that work plan work will continue at the December LHAC meeting.

 

9.

2015 Budget Expenses

 

That the London Housing Advisory Committee (LHAC) approved expenditures of $26.83 for the purchase of subcommittee meeting supplies; it being noted that the LHAC has sufficient funds in its 2015 budget for these expenditures.
